Direct Cremation (Funeral without service)

A Direct Cremation Plan :  £1500 + plan admin fee £249

A cremation with no ceremony and no family or friends in attendance. Our simplest choice to keep costs to a minimum.


What's included:

  • Collection of the deceased from a location within 20 miles of our funeral home. There is no extra charge for outside of normal business hours. If the deceased is further afield we can provide a quote accordingly.
  • All necessary work to arrange the collection of the deceased, arrangement of the cremation and return of ashes.
  • Provision of a simple wood coffin with handles and nameplate suitable for cremation.
  • We will use a crematorium of our choice. We only use reputable Crematoriums that specialise is cremations at competitive rates to help keep costs down.
  • Statutory doctors fees required by law for all cremations.
  • Return of the ashes to the family within 20 miles, for delivery further afield a quote can be provided.


What’s not included:

  • Choice of date/time of the cremation.
  • This funeral choice does not include a ceremony and therefore no one is able to attend the cremation.
  • Hearse – the deceased will be conveyed to the crematorium in a private ambulance.
  • Limousine – because this is an unattended funeral, there are no limousines included.
  • Obituary in the local press. This can be arranged for an extra charge.
  • Floral tributes.
  • An urn is not included. The ashes will be returned to you in the receptacle provided by the crematorium which may be a box or plastic container. We have a choice of cremation urns and scatter tubes to purchase for an extra charge.


What is a Direct or Simple Cremation?

An Unattended Funeral also referred to as a direct or unattended cremation, is ideal for those who would prefer a more simple funeral. An Unattended Funeral is different to a traditional funeral as there is no funeral service beforehand and no mourners present at the cremation. This allows you to provide the send-off that suits your families budget and in a manner they choose to celebrate your life.
An Unattended Funeral is arranged with a simple call to our confidential service who are available 24/7 to ensure arranging your loved one's funeral is a straightforward process.
